You make the stockings. We make sure they get to needy kids.
"Stockings all hung by the chimney with care" is just a Christmas poem our kids have heard somewhere. Most inner-city children do not know what it’s like to receive something handmade with love and care. But Metro makes sure our kids know what it’s like through the Christmas Stocking Project. Last year, Metro gave over 40,000 stockings to children.
2 Ways to Help
Make Your Own Stockings!
Participants in this project make stockings from a pattern we provide and fill it with goodies for boys or girls. Stockings are received and processed August through November 15th of each year. The pattern provides sewing specifications as well as info on what items to stuff into your stockings for girls and boys. All stockings must arrive before NOVEMBER 15th each year.
